The Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association , beginning in 2012, will fund (1) $1000 scholarship for college-bound students who live within the District.
Preference will be given to those students planning to attend Lamar University. Strong academic standing will be required, as well as evidence of a commitment to the community through volunteerism.
Qualified, interested parties may access applications via the Oaks website.
