| The Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association’s general meetings are designed to inform, educate, and entertain the membership of the Oaks Historic District. The Association meets every month on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. The meeting is usually held at the McFaddin-Ward Visitor’s Center at 3rd and Calder. The meeting structure is the first of the hour is devoted to business concerns, treasurer’s report, Landmark Commission Meeting updates, Police reports, upcoming events, and calls for volunteers. The second half of most meetings will include a presenter of a relevant topic for oaks residents/supporters – Topics include Lasagna Gardening, furniture restoration, Architectural Antique salvage and distribution, city projects/department updates.
Meetings are open to all interested in historic preservation of neighborhoods such as the Oaks. Please join us! If you need additional information, please call 835-0795.
