Among the special projects the Oaks Historic District Neighborhood Association has undertaken include Beaumont’s first Dog Park.

Many other cities have these wonderful parks and now, through a partnership with the City of Beaumont, Ida Reed Park at 7^th Street and Louisiana is the site of this new “Bark Park”.

The Park has two sections: one for dogs under 30 pounds and a second for dogs over 30 pounds. Fountains for dogs and their owners are available and so are the necessary “doggie waste “ bags with a receptacle for disposal.

Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and for following the posted rules.
